Celebrating multilingualism

At New Horizons School, language learning begins as early as 9 months through our bilingual English and Spanish program. With more than 40 nationalities represented across our community and an international teaching team comprising 12 nationalities, students benefit from an authentic linguistic and cultural immersion experience.

Each student’s progress is further supported through English as an Additional Language (EAL) programs and Northwest Evaluation Association Measures of Academic Progress (NWEA MAP) assessments, fostering strong academic and communication skills within a global learning environment.

Languages offered

Our fully bilingual educational model integrates English and Spanish continuously and progressively, enabling students to achieve a high level of fluency in both languages by graduation.

Early Childhood Elementary School High School

Early Childhood

From 9 months, children learn in a bilingual environment where English and Spanish are part of daily life. Age-appropriate, play-based experiences develop their language, social, and emotional skills in a safe and stimulating setting.

Elementary School

In Elementary School, students build strong foundations through bilingual education and our personalized Learning.First™ approach.

Project-based learning and ongoing monitoring through Northwest Evaluation Association Measures of Academic Progress (NWEA MAP) assessments help them develop academic and personal skills with confidence and curiosity.

High School

In High School, students continue developing their English and Spanish language skills in a fully bilingual environment. Their learning is supported by programs such as English as an Additional Language (EAL) and NWEA MAP assessments, which enable teachers to closely monitor their linguistic and academic progress.

Using both languages across different subjects and real-world communication settings strengthens students’ fluency, comprehension, and confidence, preparing them to thrive in academic and multicultural environments.

I arrived at New Horizons School with a limited Spanish vocabulary. Today, I proudly represent our school in the district-level Science Olympiad and have advanced to the national competition.
