At New Horizons School, our High School program serves students in Grades 7 through 12, ages 14 to 18, empowering them to take ownership of their academic journey. Their education combines the Dominican National Curriculum with internationally recognized U.S academic frameworks, including the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), as well as Advanced Placement (AP) courses.

In High School, students progress through an educational model that combines the Dominican National Curriculum with internationally recognized U.S. academic standards, including Common Core State Standards (CCSS), Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and Advanced Placement (AP). Ongoing monitoring enables teachers to identify each student’s strengths, needs, and areas for improvement, providing personalized support throughout their academic journey.
Ongoing assessment through NWEA MAP, combined with dedicated teacher guidance, helps students strengthen the knowledge and skills they need to approach future academic challenges with confidence. Their level of English proficiency also reflects the program’s rigorous standards: 100% of graduates achieve a B2 level or higher, and 50% reach a C1 or C2 level.

Through ISP's International Learning Opportunities for Students (ILOS), our students take part in projects, challenges, and collaborative experiences with peers from around the world, extending learning beyond the classroom. Alongside cultural experiences, multilingual learning, and participation in MUN, debate, sports, the arts, and competitions, these opportunities strengthen communication, critical thinking, leadership, creativity, empathy, collaboration, and adaptability.
Ranked 64th among more than 3,000 teams, our Debate Team is a member of the prestigious 400 Club, while 21 students achieved first place at the CODED World Championship in Tokyo, competing against participants from more than 40 countries.
